Ultime notizie aziendali su The difference between industrial cameras and civilian cameras

Any classification must have its own classification standards, and industrial cameras are no exception. According to the chip type, they can be divided into CCD cameras and CMOS cameras; according to the structural characteristics of the sensor, they can be divided into line array cameras and area array cameras; according to the scanning method, they can be divided into interlaced scan cameras and progressive scan cameras; according to the resolution, they can be divided into ordinary resolution cameras rate cameras and high-resolution cameras; according to the output signal mode, they can be divided into analog cameras and digital cameras; according to the output color, they can be divided into monochrome (black and white) cameras and color cameras; according to the output signal speed, they can be divided into ordinary speed cameras and high-speed cameras; according to the response frequency range, they can be divided into visible light (ordinary) cameras, infrared cameras, ultraviolet cameras, etc.

You answer the difference between industrial cameras and civilian cameras. Industrial cameras and civilian cameras may sound similar, but they are actually two fundamentally different cameras.

  1. The performance of industrial cameras is strong, stable and reliable, and easy to install. The camera structure is compact and strong and not easily damaged. It has a long continuous working time and can be used in harsh environments. General digital cameras cannot do this. For example: civilian digital cameras cannot work continuously for a long time, cannot take rapid continuous shots, have no mounting holes, and cannot be fixed on the machine table;
  2. The shutter time of industrial cameras can be very short, the exposure can be global, and high-speed moving objects can be captured. The shutter time of industrial cameras can generally be adjusted from 1/100000 seconds to 10 seconds. With machine vision light sources and strobe controllers, the shutter time can be set at the microsecond level, and global exposure can effectively solve problems such as smear. For example, if you attach a business card to the blades of an electric fan, rotate it at maximum speed, and capture an image with an industrial camera, you can still clearly identify the fonts on the business card. It is impossible to achieve the same effect with an ordinary camera;
  3. The image sensor of an industrial camera is progressive scan, while the image sensor of a civilian camera is interlaced, or even scanned every three lines. The production process of progressive scan image sensors is relatively complex, the yield is low, the shipment volume is small, and the price is expensive.
  4. The frame rate of industrial cameras is much higher than that of ordinary cameras. Depending on the camera resolution, industrial cameras can take several to hundreds or even thousands of pictures per second, while civilian cameras can only take a few images, which is a big difference. For example, a 300,000-pixel industrial camera can easily achieve 200 frames.
  5. Industrial cameras usually output naked data, and their spectral ranges are often relatively wide, making them more suitable for high-quality image processing algorithms, such as machine vision applications. The spectral range of pictures taken by ordinary cameras is only suitable for human vision, and they have been compressed, resulting in poor image quality, which is not conducive to analysis and processing.
  6. Due to the technical advantages of industrial cameras that are different from ordinary cameras, industrial cameras are more expensive than ordinary cameras. It is mainly determined by market demand. Industrial cameras are increasingly used in various major fields, so it is inevitable that the cost will remain high.
