The two main types of camera chips mentioned by everyone are the main control chip and the light-sensitive chip. The main control chip can be regarded as the brain of the entire camera. It is responsible for processing and controlling various functions such as image acquisition, image transmission and optimization. This main control chip usually adopts the structure of DSP (Digital Signal Processor) or SOC (System-on-a-Chip), and its powerful computing capabilities and efficient image processing algorithms can achieve image optimization and enhancement, as well as the realization of various functions.

The photosensitive chip, also known as the image sensor (Sensor), is the eye of the camera, responsible for converting light into electrical signals. The photosensitive chip is mainly divided into two types: one is the CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) chip, and the other is the CCD (Charge-Coupled Device) chip. These two types of chips differ in principle and structure, but both can achieve pixel acquisition and color restoration. The advantage of the CMOS chip lies in its low power consumption, small size and low cost, while the CCD chip has higher image quality and light sensitivity.
