Ultime notizie aziendali su Application of USB3.0 industrial camera in medicine bottle detection

Due to the special nature of medicines, the labels on the medicine bottles require 100% inspection, which cannot be achieved with high-speed production and manpower. In response to this situation, when USB 3.0 industrial cameras are used in the pharmaceutical process, they can be used to monitor, analyze and optimize the pharmaceutical process to ensure production quality and improve productivity.

Defects or defects in the bottle mouth

Empty medicine bottles will inevitably be damaged due to collision during transportation. In order to prevent broken glass from mixing into the bottle and causing the bottle cap to fail to seal tightly, before filling the medicine liquid, an industrial camera can be used to conduct vertical bottle mouth inspection. The first step is to screen and filter empty medicine bottles with defective or broken bottle mouths. The USB industrial camera can provide high image speed and low noise image quality, which can clearly show the captured bottle mouth, with a frame rate of 593 frames/second, and can capture every medicine bottle that quickly passes through the production line. The captured image can be instantly sent to a small computer, and the computer can automatically compare the normal sample image (diameter measurement or pattern recognition software can be used). After that, the small computer can issue instructions to the automated machine to send the medicine bottles that do not meet the standards to the waste area for elimination.

Labeling/coding detection and character recognition

In addition to medicine bottle testing, many pharmaceutical manufacturers will affix or embed label numbers, dates or related drug names on the medicine bottle body or cap. Industrial cameras can provide efficient and robust barcode recognition algorithms that can quickly detect and identify one-dimensional and two-dimensional barcodes in any orientation. They can also be set to scan only specific barcode graphics and orientations, or set a region of interest (ROI) to speed up detection and decoding efficiency. Pharmaceutical manufacturers only need to use industrial cameras to read the one-dimensional or two-dimensional barcodes on labels or sprayed on packaging to obtain the detailed ingredients, production date, batch number, expiration date and other relevant information of the drug in real time.

USB industrial cameras are now widely installed on machine conveyor belts, replacing the human eye for judgment and measurement, because they can capture clear images during high-speed movement and can quickly and accurately transmit and process image data. USB 3.0 industrial cameras can operate continuously for a long time in harsh environments, and can ensure stable and reliable performance and accurate shooting efficiency, and are faster than previous USB 2.0 transmissions.
