Under normal circumstances, compressed air is enough to remove all impurities inside the CCD industrial camera chip. However, spray-type compressed air is not recommended because the compressed air in sprays often contains water, oil and other substances that may damage the CCD surface.
Microfibers can penetrate deep into the surface of CCD industrial cameras to remove impurities, thereby achieving cleaning purposes.
This material can be purchased at almost any chemical reagent store. But be careful not to use isopropyl alcohol, because isopropyl alcohol will absorb moisture in the air and leave liquid traces on the surface of the CCD industrial camera.
In addition to alcohol, methanol or a liquid called Eclipse can also be used to clean the surface of CCD industrial cameras. However, we do not recommend this method because methanol is a highly toxic substance.
The above methods can be combined to clean the surface of the CCD camera. Don’t worry if your fingers touch the glass on the front of the CCD. This glass is very hard and will not leave scratches on its surface unless you use a glass knife, sand or diamond.
